Hey all
Just watching "Juno" and taking birth control on my day off from the children at the theatre and thought I'd might as well embark on my monthly MySpace check in. Things are busy but good. I haven't had as much time for reading, writing, and music as I'd like; but hopefully that'll change as I get more settled. I've probably written about 7 seven songs since last I wrote... which ( for me) is a dehydrating dry-spell I'd rather avoid in the coming months. I'll try to get yariv to teach me how to post my new master pieces on here. There's definatly a chip ( no pun intended) missing in my brain when it comes to computers.
I've been working a lot directing two junior high student groups and one teen group in "Little Shop of Horrors" ( which I stared in at 13 or 14 right when I got my braces off... fond slimy teeth memories). We just got a new school with a lot of low- income little kids. I've taken it on along with a good friend of mine affiliated with our theatre. We just had auditions for "The Wizard of OZ" ( which I also stared it... with braces... and pre-waxed eyebrows...10,000 years ago); and I really look forward to making a differance in these incredibly special children's lives ( I am being dead serious... I guess I've let down a wall over the past few years and let my empathetic, caring, and sensitive side out... not too cool for a rock star, huh? Shhhhh... don't tell).
On top of that, our adult celebrity benifit production of "Grease" is really coming along nicely. Anyway, I hope everyone is hanging in there during this reccession. Appartly, Change is upon us. GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cried with relief and happiness when we all found out he won... I also found out that fucking prop 8 actually PASSED... and cried with grief for my friends and for all of Los Angeles ( and for me... i mean... what if I change my mind??). What are we in?... the fucking dark ages?? It dispicable.
ugh. well enough political talk. I had a party for Yariv's birthday this weekend and watching John Melendez and some republican ( who invited him?) get in a fight over the vote exhausted my red, white, and blue energy.

'This past week has been pretty intense what with the big move. We've been working so hard for this house for so many months ( we opened escrow in JUNE!) so now that we're basically all moved in, it feels like we can finally breathe again. It feels amazing to be out of the dirty and superficial city. We're still in LA bt, thankfully, far removed from the Hollywood area. Tucked away in the hills is where our artist retreat resides. It's the perfict place to make music ( or artistic films, in my husband's case) and cut yourself off from the world for a while if u so choose. I am in love with this house.
In the process of making a home studio... look forward to much new music to come!'
